Job Title: Postdoctoral position
Employer: Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences
Location: Baltimore, MD, USA

Description: The Kamiya Lab in the Johns Hopkins Schizophrenia Center, Department of Psychiatry, at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is looking for a postdoctoral fellow with a background in molecular biology and/or behavioral neuroscience who has a strong interest in molecular and neural circuit mechanisms associated with psychiatric conditions, such as schizophrenia and depression. The laboratory combines molecular, biochemical, cell biology, neural circuits, and behavior approaches using mouse models to better understand mental disorders. The postdoctoral candidate will join projects supported by NIH or other funding sources with the ultimate goal to uncover novel therapeutic targets and objective markers of psychiatric conditions through the discovery of their molecular and circuit mechanisms.

Requirements: The ideal candidate has concluded PhD (or equivalent) training and shown clear commitment towards research in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, neural circuits, and/or mouse behavior, supported by meaningful publications and/or presentations at expert meetings. Candidate who has own fellowship is highly desirable. Candidate who has strong experience with studies on brain development, psychological stress, and/or neuroinflammation in preclinical projects is also highly desirable.
