Department of Physiology (Hasegawa Lab) in Niigata University School of Medicine is starting a research project on the neural mechanisms of deception in primates with behavioral and neurophysiological approaches. We are seeking for an Assistant Professor who plays a key role leading this project and roles in educations in Niigata University.

Applicants must have a PhD. We seek researchers highly motivated to conduct creative research in our research fields and be responsible for educations of undergraduate and graduate students in Niigata University School of Medicine. The appointed person is expected to develop an interactive behavioral paradigm for primate researches and to conduct chronic neurophysiological experiments. Skills in chronic in vivo recordings and in computer programming are preferable, but not necessary. We strongly encourage application of young, open-minded, and vigorous researchers who flexibly acquire our procedures and actively create novel paradigms and methodologies.
- Conditions of employment
Starting date: Negotiable between Sep 1, 2017 – Apr 1, 2018. Term of employment: 5 years, renewable based on evaluation. All conditions of employment including salary are in accordance with regulations of Niigata University.
