Opening Remarks for the First Korea-Japan Neuroscience Symposium

It is our great pleasure to hold the first Korea-Japan Neuroscience Symposium at the 37th annual meeting of Japanese Society of Neuroscience. The plan of organizing a joint symposium was generated from the talk between Prof. Young Jun Oh at Yonsei University, the President of the Korean Society for Brain and Neural Science and Prof. Ryosuke Takahashi at Kyoto University, the chair of the 37th annual meeting of JNS. Profs. Oh and Takahashi are colleagues and friends in Parkinson's research field and have agreed to invite top-rate Parkinson's experts from Korea and Japan to the very first collaborative symposium between KSBNS and JNS. Prof. Hideki Mochizuki has taken the role of an outstanding moderator. We hope that this symposium will provide an excellent opportunity to exchange information and thoughts among researchers in both countries and form a basis for future collaboration.
