High-throughput Reconstruction of Insect and Mammalian Brain Connectomes

In this talk I will present my research on high-throughput bioimage informatics and computational neuroscience techniques for reconstructing the connectome/projectome/brain-networks/brain-atlases of model animals, with a focus on both insect's (especially fruit fly) and mammalian (mouse and human) brains. If time permits, I will also discuss my platform for large/massive data visualization and analysis Vaa3D (http://vaa3d.org) which enables us to conduct the high-throughput neuroscience studies.
