Applications are invited for (i) a Postdoctoral Scientist, (ii) a Graduate Research Assistant to join research on the cellular basis of visual attention and memory, using single unit electrophysiology. The work is jointly directed by J. Duncan (CBSU) and D. Gaffan (University of Oxford). Successful candidates will work full-time in Oxford. Strong opportunities exist for linking the neurophysiological work of the Oxford laboratory to studies of human cognitive functions in Cambridge.
The Postdoctoral Scientist position is a three year appointment with a likely starting salary in the region of £24,746 per annum. The Research Assistant is an externally funded post available until 2 Jan 2010, with a likely starting salary of £19,048 per annum. Both posts are supported by a flexible pay and reward policy, 30 days annual holiday entitlement, and an optional MRC final salary pension scheme.
