インターネットジャーナル「Journal of Visualized Experiments (JoVE)」の創刊のお知らせです。

JoVEは、生物学の実験が実際にどのように行われているかについて、ムービーを中心としたアーティクルとして、インターネット上のウェブサイトに出版していくという全く新しいタイプのジャーナルです。文献上に記載されている実験を再現しようとする場合、テキストや写真だけによる情報では不十分なことも多いのではないでしょうか。JoVEは、実験の方法をムービーによって明瞭に提示することにより、生物学で使用される様々な特殊技術をより広く正確に科学コミュニティに伝えることを目的としています。
今後、PubMedをはじめとする各種文献データベースへの登録も計画しております。

Dear scientists,

I would like to inform you about the first issue of JoVE (Journal of Visualized Experiments), and invite submission of a video-article on your experiments.

JoVE is a newly founded journal devoted to visualized (video-based) publication of biological research. Video-based publication allows for an explicit demonstration how experiments are really done, and provides an unambiguous exposure of scientist research expertise to the scientific community.
