US National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), National Institutes of Health (NIH) is recruiting a postdoctoral fellow to investigate neural circuits involved in motivation of goal-directed behavior in rodents, using research techniques including pharmacology, optogenetics, chemogenetics, in vivo electrophysiology, and calcium-imaging. The position is located within the Neurocircuitry of Motivation Section of the Behavioral Neuroscience Research Branch (BNRB) within the Intramural Research Program (IRP) located in Baltimore, Maryland, USA.

Candidates with strong expertise in pharmacological, electrophysiological, molecular or computational neuroscience are encouraged to apply. The lab provides an opportunity to establish collaborations and interactions between pre-, post-Doctoral fellows, neuroscientists, behavioral pharmacologists, and drug abuse experts.
