Postdoctoral Positions in Circuit Neuroscience at Aarhus University
(Denmark)

The Thalamic Circuits Laboratory led by Dr. Fiona Müllner at the Danish Research Institute of Translational Neuroscience (DANDRITE, Nordic EMBL Partnership) and the Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Aarhus University, Denmark, is recruiting one or two postdoctoral researchers in circuit neuroscience.
The project focuses on understanding how visual information is processed and modulated in thalamic circuits using state-of-the-art approaches including in vivo two-photon calcium imaging, advanced viral tracing, electrophysiology, optogenetics, mouse behavior, and computational modeling.
Applicants should hold a PhD in neuroscience or a related field (or be near completion), and candidates with expertise in in vivo imaging, electrophysiology, or systems neuroscience are particularly encouraged to apply. Documented scientific achievements such as publications, preprints, or submitted manuscripts are required.
The positions are funded by an ERC grant and the Lundbeck Foundation. Initial appointment is for one year starting September 2026 (renewable). Aarhus University and DANDRITE provide an outstanding international neuroscience environment with strong support for interdisciplinary and collaborative research.
