Seeking a Research Scientist or Postdoctoral fellow
Human Biomimetic System RIKEN Hakubi research Team, RIKEN BDR

【Outline of Laboratory】
The overall objective of my research is the development of in-vitro experimental platform to reconstitute the biological system outside our bodies by controlling cellular micro-environments. Factors to provide cells with spatio-temporal information such as cell distribution, ECM localization, morphogen gradients will be controlled to reconstitute in vivo environments and functional organ architecture.
【Job title and Job description】
Job title
Research Scientist or Postdoctoral Researcher: 1 position
Postdoctoral Researcher is defined as those with a doctoral degree of 5 years or less. Research Scientist is defined as those with a doctoral degree of more than 5 years.
Job description
Research related to the organoid development such as lung, spinal chord, and kidney and control organoid architecture by providing spatial information to the cells.
  1. Development of methods to control spatial-temporal environment to provide cells with spatial cues.
  2. Development of higher order of organogenesis with asymmetric pattern. (Examples: Development of neural tube organoid with axis information, Development of model replicating BBB-Neural organoid interaction)
