Dear JNS members,
The Japan Neuroscience Society (JNS) is seeking a new Editor-in-Chief (EiC) of the Neuroscience Research (NSR), the Society's official international open-access journal. NSR publishes high quality articles across all areas of neuroscience, spanning molecular, circuit, systems, and behavioral levels as well as neurological and psychiatric diseases. The term of the current EiC, Dr. Thomas J. McHugh, will conclude on December 31, 2026.
The EiC is expected to work closely with the publishing partner Elsevier and the Editorial Board to further enhance the international visibility and the impact of our official journal. The NSR Steering Committee welcomes applications from outstanding JNS members regardless of their area of research. The appointment is for an initial term of three years, with the possibility of renewal for a further three-year term. An honorarium will be provided in accordance with the contract with Elsevier.
Candidates should submit a CV along with an application letter (maximum two A4 pages) summarizing their vision for the present and future development of NSR. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview.
